Evening Post Letter – 24.06.11

Have been meaning to post a copy of this for ages – check out what appeared in the Bristol Evening Post last month!

Taking a break…

Sorry for the lack of new tags in Bristol lately (and for the lack of blog updates) but I had an important date with a pool and some serious sunshine in Cyprus. A nice period of relaxation it might have been, but I couldn’t resist leaving behind a little something from KnitDiss.

Back to school

The latest target for our yarn bombing exploits: Bailey’s Court Primary School in Bradley Stoke. We’ve brightened up their gates with a jolly sunflower and some cheery Bristol hot air balloons. This particular expedition began in broad daylight but took much longer than anticipated to install and ended just after 11pm! We put the finishing touches to this ensemble piece as the darkness was closing in, as these photos show; daylight images to follow. This piece was produced by the efforts of several contributors, mother, sister and housemate all providing much-needed stitching assistance. Hopefully the knitting will survive when school opens again on Monday!
